Screen Printing Tea Towels

I transferred my pattern design onto tracing paper, prepared my screens and exposed the pattern onto it. However, I feel that the screen print didn't work for one of two reasons. Either the screen hadn't been exposed properly, or the material I had bought for my tea towels wasn't absorbing the ink very well. Here you can see how the ink has either taken very lightly to the material or just flooded the screen and almost blotted onto the material. I tried a few goes at printing and found that every one just wasn't working very well. As I am very conscious of time, I had decided to digitally print my tea towels onto the same material as my apron to keep consistency between the products.
